Connect to the ESPSX3 board (configuration/setup/home page) over the Internet. We have tested this connection with the Microsoft Internet Explorer V5.50, Netscape V4.51, V4.79, V6.2.1 and Opera 6.0.
  
Installation Instructions for ActiveX Control:
Operate the ESPSX3 board (serial ports) over the World Wide Web, using our ActiveX Control from the Microsoft Internet Explorer V5.0+ browser. It may be necessary to make changes to your Internet Security Options (Note: WARNING! You may want to restore some or all of your original security settings, after installing/operating our ActiveX Control from your browser). To change your Internet Options, to allow for download and operaton of our ActiveX control: go to Tools --> Internet Options --> Security Tab --> Custom Level... --> set Download unsigned ActiveX controls to Prompt --> set Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins to Enabled (or Prompt). Note: Click here for Microsoft Internet Explorer -- Internet Options -- screen shots.

Your are now ready to download and install our ActiveX Control Example (81k). If Visual Basic is installed on your computer the control should install OK. If VB is NOT installed on your computer, additional elements will be installed from the Microsoft web site (it may be necessary to reboot your computer if VB is NOT installed). We are working on a method to control the ESPSX3 board from Netscape. Also, we will have an Internet Terminal Emulator (ActiveX control) in the near future, that will allow remote operation of our AT1616L I/O board using the ESPSX3 serial port server.

R. E. Smith ESPSX3 Ethernet to RS232(3-wire)/RS485(Isolated)/RS422(Isolated) Serial Port Server (3 ports):

Our Ethernet to 3-port Serial Port Server is now available. This unit has 3-RS232 buffered (3-wire) ports. One of these ports can be used as RS232 or 3.0KV Opto/Xformer Isolated RS485/RS422. Check back soon or give us a call for the latest information. Download schematics, software, photo, and manual below. Call us about the standalone/transparent operating mode for the ESPSX3 ("serial extension cord/baud shifter" - way cool). The ESPSX3 full-configuration unit is $299.00ea. (qty. 1-9). An RS232 only version is $259.00ea. (qty. 1-9). Additional/ordering information below. Also, we have an Ethernet to Fiber Optic Converter (1 mile).
